And if you need any more proof of that, just take a look at what Samsung just announced in a blog post. According to the post, Samsung is ushering in a new age of Galaxy AI. While the company won’t reveal the names of the new Galaxy S24 or S24 Ultra, you can be sure that this will be Samsung’s go-to weapon against Apple’s iPhone when the company’s new flagships hit shelves at the start of next year. Samsung’s new Galaxy phones will come with AI built-in, as well as cloud-based, according to the post. Samsung says it is working with “industry leaders in AI,” though it didn’t specify which ones.
Other generative AI capabilities are also on the horizon. Samsung Research-developed Samsung Gauss will improve “work efficiency” by automating tasks such as email composing, document summarization, and translation. Finally, Samsung has teased that video features will be coming to its 200MP cameras, powered by the “AI smarts” built into the “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3” that will likely power the “Galaxy S24 Ultra.” AI tracking will enable you to keep an eye on a subject in the video at any time, as well as take “crop” and “full-angle” shots. Samsung also promises “end to end AI remosaic image capture,” which it claims will offer “richer details and vibrant colors.” The problem with many of the silicon and devices AI announcements so far, however, is that they are so technical.
